For the excel experts, below is an example of a spreadsheet I extract on a monthly basis. The problem is that each shop name appears only once in the same column as the sold products.
DescriptionQOHSold
TOTALS
SHOP W
Product F
6
4
Product G
0
17
Product H
0
10
Product I

Product J

45
SHOP X
Product A

14
Product B
0
17
Product C
4
2
Product D
3

TOTALS

What formula can I use to get the store name to appear next to each of the sold products as below?

Pull in a column to the left, do an if it cell one to the right and up says total then use name from description column, if not use content from cell above the one you're typing into

Thanks, got it right eventually.

Used formula =IF(B2=$B$20,MID(B3,1,6),A3)
