Im having exactly the same problem as this guy in the URL above.

For a specific user excel keeps crashing when she works on many documents and copies, pastes etc

It is a random problem and seemingly impossible to replicate on purpose. The crash info being sent to microsoft refers to excel.exe and no particular .dll file or anything. It seems the problem I have is 100% exactly the same as the one above however I have no idea how to fix it and no-one has had any solution for the other guy either.

Many of our users have the same XP image with the same Office2000 and are not experiencing any similar problems.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have already fully uninstalled and re-installed office many many times.

@ teraside -- LOL :) wish I could but the software is corporate standard and I am not allowed to upgrade or deviate from this standard.

sounds like a machine problem, link states guy swopped machines kept the old for testing and still can't sort it. I'd say it memory related.

"I gave the user a newly imaged PC, but I kept the problematic PC to test with it and see what it is.

Excel safemode just doesn't load with all the plugins right?

How can a corrupt default document be the problem if the program opens properly right?

It only happens when the user is copying and moving sheets within sheets and then once it starts it just doesn't stop"

Well what I have done now is reset all Office reg keys to factory defaults using Excel.exe /unregserver and then Excel.exe /regserver in the windows run command utility.

User has not reported any faults thus far....touch wood!!
