I recently started a thread about the release of 64bit iBurst drivers for Vista. Due to a mistake by iBurst, they posted the same driver for all their devices and this prevented my PCMCIA Modem from working in Vista 64bit and Windows 7 64bit. After various phone call to the Helpdesk at iBurst and a visit to the iBurst stand at the Digital life Expo, no further information could be gained regarding this issue. However, I then phoned Shaun Green, the Technical Support Representative on this forum, and he sorted this problem out within a few days.
He confirmed that 64bit drivers are not available for device and arranged for my device to be swapped out for an express modem at no cost. Also, he sent out a technician to my house, on a Saturday, to test if it is 64bit compatible, and it was, and then arranged for it to be swapped out as soon as at was convenient for me. Needless to say, thats done and i'm using that modem to post this message and now I am currently using Windows 7 RC1 64bit.
The service I experienced from iBurst and specifically Shaun Green was outstanding and I can only hope that others would learn from him.
BTW:
The current iBurst drivers ARE Windows 7 compatible and only need to be installed in compatibility mode for Vista to get them to work. This is for 32bit.
For 64bit Windows 7, download the drivers I uploaded in the other thread I started about 64bit drivers, unzip to a temp directory and then run "setup.exe".
Use this procedure for Vista 64bit as well.
