Did a google search for various phones I'm evaluating to purchase and this store pops up with lower prices than the rest. Facebook and Hello Peter have good reviews. No google places reviews. No listing here. Has anyone bought from them and experience?

Sites selling flagship phones for thousands less than everyone else are always suspicious.

Terms and conditions and FAQ all copied from Ackermans and Cellucity, though. They probably don't even realise that they claim to use EV SSL but are using a free Lets Encrypt certificate.

The workshop is a shadow of what it once was, and a no go area in my opinion. would be very hesitant in buying from a shop based there.

Thread bump.

Took a gamble and ordered (Visa protected purchase, so why not)....

iPhone 13 512GB for R17 999 vs iStore R24 499.

Impressions:
- Good so far, they've replied to emails within minutes
- Goods are with courier (you receive a copy of the waybill / tracking info)
- Invoice provides IMEI which corresponds to the correct model (via external checks) - as does the serial number

Either they're REALLY REALLY elaborate scammers or it's legit (leaning towards the latter here).

I'll update again as soon as the handset arrives in the next 1-2 days.

(interesting note below says country of origin is ZA - which means this isn't a grey import...)

ETA tomorrow I guess - been in transit from DBN --> CPT since 21:02 last night.

OVN shipping via The Courier Guy which according to their website says by 11am the next business day - that hasn't happened, so i'm guessing it will check in to CPT tonight --> be rotated out for delivery to me tomorrow.

R6.5k cheaper (closer to USD retail cost) than iStore for the same model (iPhone 13 512GB Blue)
Unopened, unblacklisted and stock sticker shows it as an MTN import.

I did a bit of homework, but I think I was on the 50/50 it shows / doesn't side of the fence too

I definitely wouldn't have done it, had there been no option to use a CC and have chargeback.

Considering using them as well as I'm looking at getting the Samsung S22 but quite skeptical as well.

I would also pay with CC and have a chargeback but would just email FNB to make sure it is possible just to be 100%.

Cellucity had it for R14 999 but they out of stock
Samsung Price = R19 999
Takealot Price = R16 500
Excelltronics Price = R12 999

So also a considerable saving.

Also can confirm that this place is legit. Responds to whatsapp quickly and sped up the process by asking for my order number rather than waiting for the PC to load it. Received the phone after 2 days of placing the order. Excellent service and would recommend. Typing this response from my new phone that I received yesterday. 2 days after I placed an order from DBN to CPT.

Thinking of pulling the trigger with these guys, but still baffled by no google reviews.
Anyone else had a personal experience with the company they can share?

Really just trying to get comfort on the potential purchase.
Lastly, did anyone find out whether the charge back is possible if the goods aren't as described?
