We migrated from exchange 2010 to 2013 a few months ago, so last week desktop support tells me that since then the autodiscovery does not work anymore, for new users and existing users. So I asked then how the hell did they set people up since then, they say they move the user to another container in AD, then it works. Once setup is done they move then user back to the original container. So we had a look but could not see any difference regarding permissions etc on those containers, ended up logging call with Microsoft. Two "experts" has had a look, but they also cannot help it seems. Was told to re-run the AD and schema prep, but that did not help either.

So anyone else ever had autodiscovery not work after migration to exchange 2013 for certain users?

The container that works is the container that all IT user accounts are in, so we don't want to move all users in that one, but no difference in permissions on the containers, and used to work fine before the migration.

Experienced the same, turns out it was related to an already installed Outlook.

First needed to backup the current data files, uninstall and then install the latest update.
Attach the data file and off we went

Seems to happen on any pc here, some new with no previous Office install, some formatted and re-installed. Only works once user is moved to certain container, so I suspect it's more to do with permissions but not sure

Also check that enable inheritance is checked under the user's account security settings

Was just told that it does not happen with Office 365 installations, and they are going to roll that out next week so not going to look into this any longer lol, thanks for the replies guys.
