Hi Guys

What i'm about to ask is probably way off the norm and ridiculous but it makes sense to me so be kind:whistle:

We are currently getting our mail from our ISP via POP3 which is working fine. We are however a growing concern and there is a call for things like access to shared calendars, better mail auditing etc. and we are looking to host exchange locally.

Now, would it be possible to configure a local exchange server to pull the mail from the POP3 server and then deliver it to the SMTP mailboxes within the exchange box?

I did see reference to a POP3 connector within Exchange 2013 but am unsure whether or not it can be used in such a way.

I do realise that this is completely the wrong way to approach an Exchange deployment and if hosting the mail locally will be a better proposition then I would appreciate the advice.

As always, any input is appreciated.

Noted, thanks guys.

Are there other options besides Exchange online from Microsoft, for their more cost effective offers there's a cap of 25 users.

:o Apologies, I didn't see that comparison page. We'll look into it, looks great.

I know some people also use google apps for business which does email, calender/scheduler etc

Google apps is k@k if you need outlook. We used it for a while and the apps sync tool just caused issues, office365 is the way to go without a doubt. The local ISPs doing hosted exchange also can't touch 365.

If you are happy to only work with the webmail. The google sync plugin for outlook has never been working 100%, always some random sync problems with outlook.
