Hi All,

hoping some brain can assist,

somewhere on the interwebs, i saw a command / syntax, for connecting to a exchange mailbox, via mapi.

we have an app that collects data from a mailbox, but it only has MAPI options, any assistance would be muchly appreciated

Hi and welcome to the internet. ON the internet we SHARE information. So asking a question that might pop up on someone else's Google search and then replying to say "never mind fixed" is a douche move. Because said-person who Google'd for an answer will be met with THAT response instead of what you did to fix the situation you were in.

Please be less selfish when posting questions others may ask and then when you do find a solution, to not share what it was other than that you have found one. It's annoying and should carry the death penalty.

hahahaha, i am so sorry

i had gotten confuculated between mapi and imap, i was thinking of the string to connect imap to exchange, but after some digging, and some "stupid me" moments, i realised that mapi was basicly the mail profile you would normally create on your pc

backround as to why?

i'm a consultant on a package called teleform, a forms processing software package, that ocr's forms, then posts the data to a database ( ie , egdars application forms are done in teleform)

we have a requirement from a client to make these forms electronic, and i am busy with an application that generates these forms into pdfs, that allow the client's client to submit the "form" electronicly , kinda like your s(c)ars efiling, only a looooot cheaper to set up :)
