Exchange Upgrade ADSL2

Hi,

So it looks like my exchange or whatever was upgraded today, i got home and nothing was working, i check my line stats and notice my noise margin and attenuation have improved a lot. I reboot the router and do a port recreate and still not working. I then dial up with the same details that are in the router and it works. I remember about adsl2 etc and enable adsl2 and adsl2+ on the router and reboot, still not working, i remove adsl2+ and it works.

How is somebody who is not computer literate supposed to figure this out? Should telkom not alert us of router changes required when they do upgrgrades?

Fair observation. I would counter by saying that the majority of users are not tech-savvy and would leave the setting on "auto detect".

I guess it depends on the router, weird that having adsl2 and adsl2+ didn't work. Does it auto choose based on what you have enabled?
