The Sunday Times has reported that a letter written by Ayo Technology Solutions’ executive team to their board reveals “a host of concerns regarding corporate governance issues”.

Ayo is controlled by AEEI, while AEEI is 61%-owned by Iqbal Surve’s Sekunjalo Investment Holdings, added the report.

Is that the same Surve who does not own IOL, and does not owe money to any government body, and owns a tremendously valuable unicorn company that owes more than it owns as assets, and who gets free advertising from the IOL newspapers packaged as business articles, supported by a business editor of unimpeachable integrity who can be trusted to give you sound and impartial business news and assessments of businesses, and who is part of a consortium that either does or does not miss the odd payment to the government investing agency depending on who you believe, but whose investment is alleged to be somewhat reduced recently by them and which is said by some undoubtedly malicious persons to have been given a loan on the basis of exaggerated valuations, but with ABSOLUTELY no suggestion of any sort of political favour from or to ex President Zuma or the ANC? Surely not! The very idea!
This report is an example of the worst sort of racism!!!! Indefensible. Must be exterminated. Pensioners must do their bit inthe cause of equality and ***** empowerment. Absolutely. Totally necessary and justifiable: Malema will back me on this.

JSE-listed African Equity Empowerment Investments Limited (AEEI) and its CEO, Khalid Abdulla, have laid a complaint of attempted extortion at the Table Bay Police Station against Magda Wierzycka, CEO of asset management company Sygnia.

According to a statement issued by AEEI on Tuesday, this follows Wierzycka allegedly having approached Abdulla to buy back the shares that AEEI, its majority shareholder Sekunjalo Investment Holdings and Abdulla have in Sygnia "at a substantially lower price".

"Failing this, she threatened to continue to write negative stories about Sekunjalo Investment Holdings, AEEI and its associated company, AYO Technology Solutions," according to the AEEI statement.

I have just read the article on this business in Sunday's Citizen Business section. This gives quite a lot of context, and is perhaps less liable to suspicion of a vendetta caused by Surve's accusations of a vendetta against him and his companies being run by Tiso Blackstar, the Sunday Times' publisher. I see the ANC Chaplain has his nose in the trough too. Quelle surprise!

And ZAR 400 million to Surve. Nice one mate!!!
I doubt his business news manager will get a job elsewhere in journalism.

Another few billion down the drain.

Just a thought. This cash, plus collecting in all the municipality debts would put Eskom on a reasonably firm footing.

Having weathered a barrage of severely negative and often false and misleading "news" stories and finger pointing over the past few years, Dr Survé has had enough.


He has decided that the truth must come out and the only way to do this, is by going to court to let the law decide.

As a result, and having consulted senior counsel on the matter, Dr Survé and his legal team will be issuing a raft of summonses during the first quarter of 2019.

These summonses will be aimed at a number of South African media houses, journalists in their personal capacity and a number of individuals who have been instrumental in the sustained and unprovoked attack on Dr Survé and a number of the Sekunjalo Group investee companies.
