My damn LNB port may be faulty. Expectra says they will test the unit (1110) and will swap out if necessary for R342! Is that not the price of a new unit?

I am think of opening up the unit and checking it out myself. Any thoughts/experiences?

R342 is the normal swap out price, the same price applies to single views & PVRs
A new one is R399 I think, but you'll only get a 1131

I doubt that they you would get a 1110 swap out anyway, you probably will get that new 1131 decoder.

well they said they had stock when i mentioned the model but u neva know

will the hdpvr work on the single view lnb?
if you got the HDPVR 2p (the little one) you can get it to work with a single lnb and a multiswitch but i dont recoemnd it if you want to be able to record all chanels properly

yes you will get a 1110 but will be a refurbished model (not a new one) thats how MC works, they give you a refurbed onw , they take you damaged one in repair it and give it to the next bloke, its the circle of life sortof :)

hate having to pay so much for a refurbished one what about the warranty?

The 1131 also does not support surround sound, so stick to a 1110 if you use surround sound
Refurbished decoders come with a 3 month warranty
