Did a lookup on HaveIBeenPwned.com and I'm definitely affected. Great.

I'm affected as well, but it does not say anything about the Experian breach from that site.

Mine specifically states the breaches and there's only 1 - Experian.

Breaches you were pwned in
A "breach" is an incident where data has been unintentionally exposed to the public. Using the 1Password password manager helps you ensure all your passwords are strong and unique such that a breach of one service doesn't put your other services at risk.
Experian (South Africa) logo

Experian (South Africa): In August 2020, Experian South Africa suffered a data breach which exposed the personal information of tens of millions of individuals. Only 1.3M of the records contained email addresses, whilst most contained government issued identity numbers, names, addresses, occupations and employers, amongst other person information.
Compromised data: Email addresses, Employers, Government issued IDs, Names, Occupations, Phone numbers

Oh boy. Just what database version did Experian give out? And if it has additional fields, such as financial/credit status etc, it's definitely an enriched database. Is it the latest version? Dunno but still bad.

Good thing my credit rating is poor and good thing they haven't removed my debt review status, even if i am debt-free, i doubt they can do anything on my name...good luck whoever you are who breached them...

Damn, Pwned on 5 sites.
Seems those sites are the ones I have not used in a long time

Yip, my email address shows up too.
I signed up to be automatically alerted and I got an email this morning saying oh no, you've been pawned.

Not pawned, but will continue to monitor.

Pawned on one site, viewfines. Fckers.

According to Experian, an individual in South Africa who claimed to represent a legitimate client fraudulently requested services from the company in May 2020.

Is it really a breach if the only thing that the perpetrator did wrong was not pay Experian for the data? They basically admitted that they share the data with their clients...

I'm honestly surprised that the super smart people at Experian haven't released a statement that haveibeenpwned.com is the source of the hack "special thing that made Experian data appear on the internet that is not a hack"

Experian offer free credit check to see if someone is using your identity for credit.
BUT since I've done that, I've bee harassed on a daily basis with phone calls from debt management agencies.
This seems like Experian is dishing out my info to agencies anyway.

Been using them for years and I don't get that.
