Experian data leak - Personal data has been found online

Why are people only now surprised its posted on line? How do you think Troy Hunt got it for HaveIBeenPwned? He obviously paid for it or parts of it, which means someone else has it and sooner or later will re-sell or share it depending on the perceived value of the data, if any.

Were people assuming HaveIBeenPwned just magically got the affected emails from somewhere? lol.
 
Only a portion of the leaked information contained an email address, for those wondering why HIBP doesn't have their banking email listed.

I knew it, I predicted that weeks ago.

So if you are a hacker, just pay Experian money and they will give you everything including my kitchen sink as well as any dirty dishes in the sink, and Experian will not disclose the data breach because you paid Experian hush money.

In an ideal world authorities would freeze Experian's bank accounts and seize its assets to pay for the damage that Experian has done by giving away all of our personal information.

The banks need to stop doing business with Experian and Experian's Financial Services licence needs to be revoked (not just suspended pending investigation).

Who gives any organization the right to release customer information to a 3rd party without customer consent???
