Experience with FNB Connect.

I agree with aqualung, so many international sites seem banned on that network... I think even ebay doesnt load... ridiculous.

It says free facebook & twitter during 7pm - 11pm but that does not work. They dont even have a presence on this forum but they seem to have set up this ISP to run paypal.

What has the ISP got to do with Paypal, when Paypal falls under their internet banking service (accessible from any ISP)?

The biggest issue with FNB connect is the price, currently R69 per gig which is way above the norm.

Used it when it was R69/gb unshaped compared to WA R70/gb shaped. Felt much snappier and had no problems with it.

FNB connect is fast and everything but what's the point if you cannot open websites like ebay? Personally I know the FNB connect System Administrator, Tom Cooper. Let's just say I will never recommend anyone doing business with him or his private business, Netsurfers Internet. They have many dissapointed clients here in Uitenhage.

I was trying to say that this was set up primarily with the intention to run paypal and not attract customers just for the ISP.

Which make absolutely no sense at all.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure PayPal run all of their localized sites centrally and the interface between PayPal and the bank has nothing to do with ISPs.

In reply to the OP: I tried it and I wasn't impressed. Apparently unshaped, but the ping to local game server was worse than on my SAIX/WA accounts. Also, their usage interface sucks donkey balls. I don't care how many Rs and cents I have left of my cap (seriously, that's what they show you) - I care about GBs/MBs. To figure it out you have to use a friggen calculator.

lag on international game servers is better than other accounts ive tried, including saix, WA, afrihost.

added bonus is you get 1gig free on joining!!!
