Experience with VOX VDSL

I have a Fatpipe account and it's great for the price I'm paying (got it on a special a while ago though).

Support is substandard in my experience though.

Before moving to Telkom LTE uncapped I used to have a VOX Fatpipe account and found them to be best for streaming (after trying Telkom and Afrihost).
I also loved the fact that unused data rolled over and uncapped from 00:00 to 06:00.

To be honest I was not impressed with VOX fatpipe on my 20Mb VDSL. Netflix often failed to even play SD properly, Youtube buffered. Webpages sometimes had to be reloaded to be complete.

Support is utterly, utterly useless.

If your primary need is streaming Axxess/Afrihost provides a great experience and the best value for money. After hours download speed is mediocre though (usenet).

If you want the best and are willing to pay a premium to get it: CrystalWeb hands down.

Netflix streams well on Vox.
Don't have any problems at all.
Download speeds are at 350kb/s on a 4mb telkom adsl line.

Im using Vox on a 20meg vdsl line since July 2014.
They have had a few dns issues periodically, but I use 3rd party dns so I dont suffer when their dns has issues.
Support is ok. They answer pretty quick but cant always resolve the issue but thats the same experience Ive had with every ISP.
Sales procedure is a bit cumbersome with the form you have to fill in, but that may have changed.
Cape Town area also has periodic IPC issues but JHB always seems to be fine.
Im happy with my account. Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, Youtube and Youpron(:D) also stream at HD and full HD with no issues.
Even Quad HD youtube streams are fine on my phone for VR.
The portal works well. Not as great as Afrihost but its getting better and better all the time.
