Just make sure that it is an authentication issue and not something like no answer if you use RASPPOE. On Sunday Telkom changed my exchange from esr1 to esr3 and thus I could not log in from my setup. Anyway the Telkom techie arrived and duly connected using his computer. I then duly managed to connect with my WinXP computer and said that I will sort my software out afterwards, pleading big sorries etc. When fault finding on the original machine I then found out that the exchange RASPPOE was dialling does not exist anymore. Made a quick new dial with Rasppoe and problem sorted.
