Hi all.
I have an extraview setup, which consists of 2 Explora 3s, and one original Explora.
I am unwilling at this stage to part with my original due to some features being better than on later models, such as more capacity etc so was hoping there was a fix available. If there isn't then I would have to see if I would be able to pick up a secondhand Explora 1.
The issue is that there seems to be an issue with the signal reading, but not the signal itself. I had an installer out a few months ago to fix up an issue in which all the decoders had no signal, and he explained to me that, this Explora has an issue in which the signal is displayed weaker than what it actually is, and he asked should he replace it. I told him not at this stage, and that I would consider my options. I was aboard at the time, didn't actually know how bad the issue was.
This morning I had a look, and when I went into signal settings, the signal reading basically dropped down to zero, and got a no signal message on all channels once I had exited out of the menu, and the only way back to viewing, was for me to restart the decoder. Once it completed the startup, all channels, as well as their respective EPGs displayed. Which leads to believe this is a software or firmware related issue, as if there was really a signal issue I wouldn't get viewing back, when my decoder has been rebooted.
Please let me know if there any steps I could take to try to figure out why this is happening, and steps I could take to possibly resolve this.
Thanks in advance.
