Is it possible to connect your explora to wi-fi and whats the benifit of it ?

Cabling it seems like the least expensive route (dependent of course of your router)?

When connected, does it automatically download or download only that which you select to download?

Download what is selected. You get an SD & HD option. You can also schedule the downloads to happen between selected hours

Hi Dairyfarmer, please advise where on can get cabling at approx R3/meter. I think you'd have to buy huge quantities to get it at that price diminishing any cost saving.

You can buy RETAIL at R265/100m (http://www.geewiz.co.za/new-items/30733-hengtong-cat5e-100m-cca-box.html)

Any good pc shop will have good quality unshielded CAT5E in 100m/300ft rolls which cost them, wholesale, around R200. Add a 50% markup and its R300/100m. RJ45's retail are around R4ea. They shouldn't charge anything to crimp the RJ45's on the ends.
