I want to put my Explora 1 decoder in a spot where it will not have line of sight with the remote.
The RF out is already used to connect to another TV.

What is the cheapest ir extender I can use.
The ideal would be someting I can plug into a USB port on the TV, as I have a port available. Alternatively something that can plug into an open port on the decoder like the rf in port.

Would it be possible to connect a 2nd tv link to TV 1 with a splitter to achieve what I explained above.

I haven't had DSTV for 10 years .... so I'm guessing - but doesn't have HDMI CEC where you can use the TV ?
Do the decoders not have dedicated IR out ports?

The TV has HDMI CEC, but I can't get it to pick up the decoder. Perhaps someone can explain how it works and if the Explora has HDMI CEC.

No IR port on Explora.
