Explora Ultra

The decoder in the bedroom is the secondary one which has TVlink. However, every few minutes the signal on that decoder is 'lost' for about half a minute with 'No signal' message. I was thinking of doing away with the older decoder and only using the newer Ultra but this requires some form of remote control from the other room.

What is this Explora you speak of...?
 
Is it possible to reformat the disk drive on the Explora (model about 4 years old) ? I'm getting intermittent pixellation and short freezing when playing back recorded programmes.
