Explorer.exe crashing when connecting to mapped drive

hi,

so i setup folder share on my remote server (2008), i now try to create a mapped drive (\\ip\folder) . username password prompts, however, when i try to login Explorer.exe on my client pc (windows 7) Crashes.

any ideas ?

I had a similar issue with Win 7 64bit, and what helped in my situation, strangely enough was to set the MTU of the network adapter being used to 1450. Did this and no issues henceforth.

Open a command prompt and type in the following;

netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Wireless Network Connection" mtu=1450 store=persistent

Except you put into the subinterface description your device being used... here is more info on the command... http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731521(v=ws.10).aspx
