Would appreciate if you could assist on how to backup my favorites in Explorer and Firefox. Need to format my Harddrive.

Thanking You.

For IE you'll want to backup the Favorites folder:

XP - C:\Docs&Settings\<user>\Favorites
7 - C:\Users\<user>\Favorites

In Firefox click on Bookmarks, then Show All Bookmarks. You'll see an 'Import & Backup' button at the top of the window. Backup to a location and then restore the file with Firefox in your new install.

FireFox also have online sync, so you can sync your history, bookmarks and settings to other pc's. Also works grate as a backup, as you can re-sync after the reload.

I don't use ie but I am sure they can do the same somehow?

Also, if you want a hard backup of everything your firefox has, try MozBackup. I've used it every time I've formatted
