I am looking at importing handmade goods from Kenya to sell in South Africa. I have a few queries that I need help with.
The supplier in Kenya is keen to use the postal service. However, I am worried about whether I will ever receive the goods. Would it be possible to arrange insurance? Who would I approach regarding insurance.
What import duty would the goods be subject to?
Can someone confirm that that I would have to pay VAT on the goods?
Has anyone dealt with reliable and cheap shipping company to import goods?
Would I need to get an import permit?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
