Just watched the pilot and while I enjoyed the overall feel and story - the one thing bugging me that a large part of the story hinges on - is why she was allowed to delete the camera files on-board the space-station? It makes no sense for that option (to delete files) to be available to the operator. That video log would surely be inaccessible so as to preserve it for the very purpose of investigating events like this. In another scenario a rogue party could dock with the station - carry out their shenanigans & simply go to the console and delete the video logs. Defeats the point.

Will keep watching it as the production is cool and I'm curious about the AI angle.

I like the cool tech that they're thinking up.

Other than that I am a bit sick and tired of all these scifi shows they're writing lately that have limited potential to last longer than one or two seasons. I miss the days of shows that had a new story every week and a season/series story arc which is built on a little every episode. Think X-files, SG-1, the star trek's, Firefly, etc.

Maybe they're just running out of ideas.

It's interesting, but unless they bring some pace (and plot actually, not a heck of a lot happened in epi 1 tbh - a lot of fluff) to it real soon i think this is only going to last 1 season if even.

Evidently it's booked for 13 epi's thanks to spielbergs clout so...

You're right! Fringe is my all-time favourite!
