I just got a verbal quote of R19 000 from Liquid Caiptal to extend the maintenance plan on my 2014 Hyundai i20 CRDI from 75000km to 90000km and over R30k to extend to 120 000km
Surely this can't be right???

It cost me R9000 to add the 75000km plan.

Wait, they essentially want to charge you R19000 for the next service? It doesn't even have a cambelt that they need to replace. Even R9000 is a joke.

I'm also having trouble with Liquid Capital. They want to charge me R13 000 to extend the service plan on my 2013 Ford Focus TDCi. Just happen to mention it to my sister yesterday, and she told me that they extended her maintenance plan on her 2010 Kia Cerato for a monthly premium of R 256.98 for 36 months.

I really don't understand the inconsistency in pricing.

Exactly that!

The service would cost me less than R2000.

VW quoted me R7000 to extend service plan from 60k to 120k and an extra year. Polo 1.6 Petrol.

I'm pretty sure the person I spoke to was just a <insert bad word> and quoted for a new maintenance plan and not extension.

I know it's not completely related, but I just want to rant about how retarded Liquid Capital is.
I got debited just over R280 more on my monthly premiums beginning of this month, and when I asked why, they just said there was a annual price increase. Nothing more. (a 26% increase, WTF?). I had no notifications about it either, had I not checked my bank statements I wouldn't have known. And I only got the car 11 months ago.

This other dude on HelloPeter has pretty much the same issue http://hellopeter.com/liquid-capital/complaints/absolute-*******-disgusting-serivce-1899118 .

I just want to spread the word to people to stay the hell away from this con company. Have a look at all their other HelloPeter reviews.
/rant :)

Liquid Capital are a waste ... I had the Hyundai plan with these guys.

Bottom line ... I had to beg to get anything replaced because some little office f@rt felt it was costing too much.

Hyundai blamed LC and LC blamed Hyundai ....

To boot, I have a DO NOT TOW LC sticker on my car. When it needed to be towed, LC werent interested in the least.

These things have never ever made sense.

Not even with a brand new car that comes without a plan (VW and the like) does it make any kind of financial logical sense.

Just keep the R19k in your savings account or home loan and use it as necessary.

I pay R320 a month for a hollard motor xtender plan on my wife's out of maintenance plan car.
Last week they paid out 14 grand, roughly, for wheel bearings, cv joints, cv boots and a water leak. Dealership commented on what a pleasure they were to deal with.

I'll stick with it, thanks.

Exactly what I ended up doing :)

Which plan are you on?

I got a quote for a maintenance plan from LC - we have a service plan now. The cost was over R200 000.00 I did get a quote to extend the warrant for 2 years or up to 250 000 km for about R380 pm covering most part at unlimited. Nissan could only offer me extensions with limits...like R6500 for a turbo replacement...yeah right.

The only thing that's expensive on diesel cars are the injectors. But it's still too early for that.
