I have a decent system running, but downstairs in the cottage, the signal sucks. Even with a mesh system.
I have run a cable from the router upstairs to the cottage.
What kind of access point can I use that isn't expensive to boot the signal,
I used a trendnet one before at another site, which I think worked well.

Any suggestions?
As I said, there is able running from the router upstairs to the cottage.

I’ve had good results with TP link devices. Make sure you get an AC or AX device.

Thansk so can you run a cable from the router into the device and then it became a wireless point?

Yes, that’s always the best way to extend the network. Setup is easy, you can configure it as an access point (can see other devices on the network) or router (can only see the internet). It has both LAN and WAN ports. Access point mode will be the simplest - only one DHCP server to contend with.

Thanks man appreciate the help

If you have a cable you can get one of the tp-link EAP AP's. EAP225 as an example.
Its a bit big size wise but mine has very good coverage.

I have one of these too - works really well too - the one I mentioned does mesh which makes it easier to add another node without cable if required - not sure if the 225 does.
It will mesh with other devices over WiFi yes. It only has one LAN port so you can't daisy chain them but that's pretty much the norm.

Woud be nice if you could run network cables to each device, like the mesh systems but they only allow one Main one, thats cabled, the rest must run off a wireless signal to the other ones
