Ok, so I have an HD-Pvr in the lounge and an Xtraview Dsd1110 in the study and I want to have the option of watching the stuff that's on the respective decoders in 2x bedrooms. So one bedroom TV will have the Pvr feed and the other bedroom will have the Dsd1110 feed.

Is this possible?
And if it is, could nyone give me tips on what I need to get to make it so?

Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

Depends how your Xtraview heartbeat is connected but that can be changed
Feed RF out from HDPVR to room 1
Feed RF out from 1110 to room 2

What would be better is feed RF out from HDPVR to 1110, this will act as your heartbeat which you already have
Then feed 1110 RF out to other rooms & it will carry the feed from both decoders

or the other way around:
RF out from 1110 to RF in on HDPVR
Then RF out on HDPVR to the rest of the house

Use RF splitters to split feed after its left the 2nd decoder

Uber technical, lol, but thanks .....

What exactly is an RF splitter? The decoders feed in to the TV's via the red/white/yellow cables right, can't I just split that (and what would split it)? I don't have to be able to change channels from the rooms, it's more of a "Oh I wanna watch the rest of this in bed" type of thing.

haha, ok lets put it like this

red/white/yellow = RCA/composite. They would give you better quality but sending 3 cables around the house is a mission. You could get a wireless receiver to do this though

RF cables are normal aerial cables, like the ones from your dish or what you use for bunny ears etc. This carries audio & video in a single cable, much easier
RF splitter simply has 1 input & 2 outputs which will send the feed to different rooms

Don't you also need a setback amplifier to boost the signal depending on distance of the rooms?

Yay, laymans terms ftw, lol. Thanks dude, that explains it perfectly in a nutshell  :D

Edit - So the cable that comes from the dish and screws into the back of the Pvr, you use a splitter and that will fit onto the back of the Pvr and then the cable from the dish screws into that and another cable to the other TV.

No no, you're still confused :D
Don't touch the cables from the dish to the decoder
Not sure which way you want to set it up, do you want to view both decoders in both rooms?

btw, don't you live up the road here? You welcome to come get a quick lesson ;) (at a nominal fee)

Hahahah, ok ok, it's the other screw-in cables then (I just looked) ..... Yeah I wanna watch both decoders in both rooms so I'll give it a bash and if I have no luck, well, I'll have to bribe you with a braai or something :p

hehe
RF cables can have either the screw on (like from the dish) or push in (aerial type plugs) ends. They are the same type of cable, so dont let that confuse you
