The time has come for me to decide on whether or not to extend the motor plan on my car.

Its covered until 105000, its on 95000 right now. To extend the plan by another 12 months/15000km will cost R21k. The guys at the dealership said that services next year should not cost more than R10k, so that means the warranty part of the plan is about 11k.

I have the money to do it, but is it worth it? This would be the last year in plan anyway.

Do it? Dont do it?

ask them if there is an option to extend by time only?
unless you are going to be doing 25k kms in the next year...

maybe 1yr and 5000km if that option is available would be better

Well Ive had the car for two years and Ive done 40k so its entirely possible. I travel about 80km a day to work and home.
So yea, I do the km's...

Does it have a cambelt, and if so, at what mileage should that be changed? I'd see if I could extend the plan to 120k... That one is normally quite a big one?

Dont extend , rather save that money somewhere.

What you can do, go to AA get the report and let BM fix the issue under motorplan.

Oil service is not more than R2k

I think with BMW the big one is 180k.
