extending zyxel wifi

I'm trying to use the wifi extender function on my huawei pocket router to increase the range of my zyxel fibre router. but the huawei router doesn't pickup the zyxel wifi signal, it does pickup other wifi networks in range, just not the one i want to connect to. am i doing something wrong?

Could be that the router you're trying to connect to doesn't have that option or it's being a pain. hard to say

the zyxel extender has the same name as your main modem

so you wont see it seperately

however on the zyxel you need to login to configure the main router and if not mistaken you can change the name as well

wait i think i read this wrong, i dont think you can set up a wifi pocket router to be a extender but if it has that function then im not sure
