Exterminators...?

So we have a bit of a termite and ant problem.

Called in Rentokil who have given us a quote which sounds, to me, excessive.

Anyone have a vague idea what these kinds of services cost?

Depends on what they will do..

Could be few hundred up to around 5000 I would guess...

EDIT: Just to try and be helpful - they did my dads place for R2300.00 recently for ants and termites. (In BFN though). This involved drilling holes into the foundations and injecting poison.

no idea what is the going rate, but make sure you read any documents they give you to sign...-friend of mine's mom...had a situation, was suppose to be an one time extermination event.....she was asked just to sign some docs,..for admin purposes....they pitched up the next month...she had concluded a 24 month agreement with them...took some real fighting to get released from their crap...

I wouldn't have even fought that, I would have told them in no uncertain terms to fek off, and if they tried to collect any money beyond the initial 1 time extermination event I would make sure that everyone knew they were con artists.

We once had a scam running in the area I live in, where 2 guys would pitch up and offer to spray your garden for ants or whatever at the low low price of something like R90. But after they finished they would give the owner an invoice of R90 per liter. They caught my neighbour with that one and he had to cough up. I told them to get fekked
 
My quote was about R1300. At this point i have been living with cockroaches for about a year thinking i could beat them myself. I was glad to pay it. We have flat about 90m2 and they fumigated, sprayed and left bait traps. Best money I have ever spent.

ah, a variation on the fertiliser bag scam :mad: - krunts! they caught my wife out like that a couple of years back - bstds
 
I wonder if after 2 years, anyone from Centurion used a reputable company ? I have ants and termites I need to KEEEEEL ! !
