Some rogues made off with my External Antenna, so f--k. Anybody selling a secondhand uni-directional?

I'm in Cape Town, my hood is full of sheet-metal roofs, thus the need for the external. Absolutely no signal inside my house.

Or any suggestions for alternatives?

LOL, but no... oh, that sig. I'll fool around, but doubt it'll work. Techie told me it's my metal roof...

Well, just that the woollies custard has a silver inside. I have a corrugated iron roof but having LOS to the tower also helps.
 
They swiped your antennae??? Seriously?

That's just plain weird....

Hahaha (oh.. its not me, I'm just laughing at it being stolen :))

But no one has bothered to steal mine before, they stole a laptop through the window, and could probably also get the UTD and router, but they dont know what it is I think. Hmm.. i think that Kuilsriver/Nyanga tower might have got some gangsters iBUrst.. now UTD's are gonna be hot property, UTD first cellphone second..
 
Sooner or later they'll probably steal the towers as they steal power cables, phonelines and bridge railings:sick:

Naah. I don't think geeks are strong enough to steal the towers, and I've never heard of geeks stealing bridge railings...
 
I can't see anyone who can afford iBurst or for that matter any "geek" stealing the antenna and I agree with EHV it has to be gangsters or someone desperate for a quick buck.
 
lol... I don't know, you really think some geek came and scouted it out just to steal a R350 antenna?

Well possible, but more likely to be some random scum just walking around who thinks it might be worth something.
 
Ahh good piece of metal to recycle ... at least they might have thought that... Or maybe hmmm... a new satelite dish?
 
Ja, your probably right. I know if I had my iBurst and needed an antenna I wouldn't be above stealing one from some guys wall/roof.

And I am technically a student.. or moving between student phases..
