External Drive Constant Noise

My external hard drive that's connected to my PC is making the 'thinking' noise, even when I'm not accessing it. What could it be?

Hard drive 'seems' to be in good condition, but I wouldn't use that hard drive for much longer.

Back-up and buy a new one...they cheap these days R1300 for 2TB
