External Hard Drive Problem Help Gents

Guys I have an internal hard drive in an enclosure worked perfectly, i put in my pc as internal to transfer some stuff.

Put it back into the enclosure and not the pc picks up the usb and tells me the hard drive name under device manager but won't open it. what the hell lol

Check if there are any partitions / volumes on the disk (start > run (xp) > diskmgmt.msc). if there are partitions on the disk that are FAT/NTFS assign a drive letter. If there are no partitions on the disk, you may need to do a recovery (always recover data to another disk unless you really really really know what you're doing).

Have you had a look under the disk manager?

Right click My Computer, Select Manage, and under disk management check if the drive is marked as active? Not sure if active is the right description, but something along those lines.
