external HDD Problems

hi,

I got a external usb enclosure, i installed the disk, plugged into windows via usb, windows installed driver automaticly as per instructions.

however i see it listed in the device manager, but not in disk management or my computer. the jap instructions say i must format it, how can i format it if i do not have a drive letter nor listed in disk management.

Have you initialised the drive?

Open computer manager and you should find what you're looking for under storage>Disk management.
