Hi,
I currently host overseas but would like to move my ecommerce hosting locally (as my site is for South African users only)
I am looking to move to a dedicated server and I'm sure Hetzner would be a good match.
However, on their managed plans, they do not offer ngnix, any sort of PHP cache, no cpanel, no http/2 etc.

So it seems it would be better to get an unmanaged server from them and set it up the way I want. The thing is - I don't know the first thing about setting up a Linux Web server.

Is there a company that charges a monthly fee for custom set up and monthly management of such a server (that doesn't require you to host with them themselves)?

Or alternatively, maybe there is already a reliable local host that offers a dedicated server with these options, that you can recommend?

Thanks

These guys offer Managed VPS's that come pre-installed with cPanel.. You get WHM access while they manage everything else relating to configuration, upgrades of cPanel and backups of your VPS and website..

You are only responsible for managing your website..

A VPS or Dedicated Server will need some attention, and asking someone else to do it will be more hassle than anything else, probably easier to hire someone to help manage the server.

Depends on your requirements though, you could just use local shared hosting? Why the requirement for a dedicated server?

It might also be a good time to learn some basic Linux sys admin, setting up nginx and PHP is extremely straight forward, you'll find hundreds of articles for almost any software that needs a setup online. I don't know what Hetzners Managed Servers entail, but they'll probably setup a base config for you and maintain that.
