Is there any ISP that will supply me with another 3Gig account without having to subscribe on a monthly basis? I already have an ADSL account with Telkom and I just need some ISP who will be able to give me another 3Gig when ever it is needed. Some months I need more than my STD 3Gig and some months I don’t, so I just want to pay for extra 3Gig when needed.

i Bielve most ISP's do it already u can get an account for a month and then drop it .

Thanks, I will go have a look at some providers then.

Worldonline allow you to buy 3gb a pop at around R200.00. Don't know if you can buy from them seperately to Telkom as your ISP, I think not.

Tiscali ADSL Master Package Subscription R 350
Tiscali ADSL Booster Package Subscription (optional - for an additional 3GB per month)
*Must have the ADSL master package to qualify for the ADSL Booster Package R 215

So 6GB Costs you R565 at Tiscali.
If you bought 6GB from Telkom it would cost you only R438.

I think Telkom should consider the Booster Pack option too, but I doubt their terrible support and admin infrastructure would cope with it.

I just spoke to Atlantic internet vaal 016 4215185 (I think they have a national call centre as well, but I'm too lazy to look it up www.lantic.net ), and they say the following.

You must be an Atlantic ADSL client, which costs R199 / month.

You can then add and remove extra monthly 3GB packages from your original package as you see fit. This costs R200 per 3GB.

From what I can see they use SAIX dialups, so available bandwidth will be the same as the current Telkom dialup.

Seems like a viable option to me.
