Extra Charges on Telkom Mobile account

So TM charges me R8.50 extra per month for caller ID on my data contract, where the SIM is installed into the router that they provided with the contract.

So after a big fight they refunded me and removed this charge.

Two months later, and it is back. :wtf:

How many of you guys are getting screwed like this ?

And would you classify this as gross negligence, or as intentional fraud ?

Yip, the same happened on my LTE router sim. After numerous calls and emails they finally stopped it and refunded the cash. You just gotta keep sending the mails and following up. Most likely scamming lots who are not checking their invoices.

Naturally one call agent was clueless and tried to educate me on why I needed it on a router.

I rather pay the R8.50 on my data contract and have hair than talk to telkom customer care

I know they robbing me.. but im also NOT playing by the book

Just another way for cell providers to make extra cash.. in the end they say caller ID is needed for you to view whos calling you.. lol

R8.5 x 3000000 x 24 = 612 000 000...

Cool R612 000 000 made easily from 3 Million contract users every 24 months.. not bad hey... yet prepaid is free and prepaid rates are cheaper
