These sites below are fill of crap, though why would the site creator use such an extremly long domain name? The sites have only crappy signup adverts on them. Though if you break the domain words up, they are abbreviations for currency (the second site below), and other various abbreviations (the first site). Why would someone do this? It just seems stupid, but knowing these guys that are into these types of crappy sites where hits=money, there must be some reasoning behind it?

I didn't want someone here thinking I was just promoting the sites. So if someone really wanted to follow the link, then they would need to remove the symbols.

Oh ok. Just difficult on mobile because you click the link then have to go to the address bar and scroll all the way to remove them etc

I don't understand why you would say this? I can take a joke, but I thought I was asking a question that someone would be able to answer here. I am sorry if I wasted the forums time.

I hope he feels bad about that comment now.

So these would be servers that control the bots?

Kinda, once contact is lost with cnc command a list of URLs is checked and registered matches become the new command servers

That page is likely just junk to signal it as online till its needed

So, I assume there is nothing once can do to take them down? How does one really come up with evidence to support that these types of pages are part of a bot network?

Reverse engineering Botnet code usually garners the URL generation code. Once this is known the domains are either intercepted and registered or ownership handed over to the team(s) that are working to take down the botnet to issue shutdown commands. Some registrars are also known hideouts for botnet makers
