This afternoon my speed on Rain is terrible. My grandmother is faster than Rain and she has been dead for 27 years. I'm battling to even do a speedtest. I did reboot the router several times. The service is just terrible.
It's not only me. My sister stays about 2km from me and her service is also as useless as can be.
During last week the speeds were not bad at all but streaming was impossible, kept on buffering. When I used my Vodacom sim last week speeds were more or less the same as Rain at that stage but no buffering at all when streaming. I don't even get buffering with a Telkom sim and I'm outside the coverage area. There must be lots of shaping from their side on streaming and I'm not even a heavy user or on the 24 hour uncapped package.
I cannot wait for fibre to come to my area. I don't even care how much I have to pay more as long as it is reliable.
