Extremely slow - who else has these issues?

I'm currently connected to the Linden exchange - JHB and have a 512k, my ISP is Telkom and I have a IS account. Now on both of those my line is so slow I might go back to dialup. Does anyone else also have these issues?

:( downloading at 3kb/s locally and 1kb/s internationally... :(
 
I'm with the Parkview exchange, 384kb and a TelkomSA account. Has been slow the whole of November, although I've found that since about the 15th it's getting much better at night.. but during the day it won't even stream 56k fluently..

Also interestingly enough, it was only HTTP and POP3 that was crawling, everything else was perfect
 
must be someting in those areas.

having my max line speeds the whole day :)
 
Mine has been slow in Wynberg, Cape Town the past few days. Download speeds have been fine on 384, but page loading is crap...
 
Mine wasn't exactly what I'd call "normal" at all lately. :( Centurion.
 
In Alberton on a 384K line, very slow with both Telkom and IS. Getting 6.8K on the IS newsgroups.

Over the weekend I switched off my computer as it the ADSL was unusable. Been like that for a while. Sometime a router reset helps.

Using the speed tester on InternetFrog, http://www.internetfrog.com/mypc/speedtest/
I got download speed of 15.8kps, Upload speed of 24.4kps and quality of service 4%, with a 6723ms ping time!!!

Thats Telkom for you!!!!
