Eyefinity Monitors-Recommend

Hi guys.

I'll soon be getting myself a 5870 and I want to setup 3 monitors for Eyefinity. I know one has to have a DisplayPort but when searching around, I haven't been able to locate one...maybe I'm not looking hard enough?

Could you maybe recommend 3 monitors for Eyefinity? I want say 20'-22' for space reasons and cash.

I also really didn't find any info on how to set it up, any info would be awesome

Could look for something like those, then use a normal DVI monitor. I'll check Ends-On for a converter and let you know.

Oh, so I can use an adapter DP-DVI? Hmmm..never knew that. Thanks. I can go even cheaper with monitors now.

Apple displays overrated for the price, that's for sure. Compare their Cinema 30" to Dell's 30" IPS panels and the difference is incredible.

I'll call Ends-On on Monday and see if they have something like this on their price list. Send me a PM on Monday if you don't hear back from me. My memory is like a seive and what gets retained has the same retention of a fish.

Haha thanks a lot man! Really apperciate the trouble. I'll have a look around here aswell. Doesn't apple have a DP-DVI adapter or is that mini-DP?

Not sure if they do or if they will. DP is apple so they'll probably just ensure they have DP on their displays as well. Besides, if they do have one could you imagine the price of it!?!? Ofcourse, it'll be glossy and white which according to them would warrant a heft price tag.

Let's see what Ends-On say. If there's no difference in the signals between DVI and DP and just comes down to a connector difference then they'll even make one up.

Ok cool. Can I ask what exactly is Ends-On? A cable making company?

R200 for it..hefty price for an adapter. :/

Ends-On is a company that started when LightEdge closed down. They do custom cable and a range of other products. They are real good for cabling supplies and networking tools. Not sure if they have any other branches as I deal with the office here in Cape Town.

That adapter at sybaritic looks like the right thing. Pricey indeed. I'll have to find out on Monday if it is cheaper to make. I bet the HP branding on that is adding alot to the price.
