Hello personal G.P's ;) :D :p

Anyways,

I've had an eyelid infection on my left eye, just below the eyebrow for about 2 months.

My skin is basically red and dry, but my right eye is fine.

I usually use Nivea for Men Sensitive Skin shower gel. Generally, I don't care for face products and creams and what have you.

I spent a few days away and used Radox Shower Gel. It seems after I used it my eyelid is almost completely healed.

I've used 2 types of eye cream, which I placed inside the eye and on the eyelid. My optometrist said that it looks like a normal skin problem and not an eye infection.

It's not a fungus either, as I popped a pill which was supposed to kill any fungi that might be the cause.

So, my question is. Has anyone lately had any skin problems/irritations due to their soaps or cleansing products? Can I ask for a refund? ;) :D :p

Sound like it might be what I have on one of my lids - excema - have you tried hydrocortisone?

I doubt it's excema bwana. Strange thing is as I heard from my G.P. excema is basically a fungus. Like I said, I popped a pill to kill any fungi and it didn't go away either.

I'm stumped though, what's hydrocortisone? Normal cortisone?

First we have to determine the cause of the eye infection. What did you peep at and how close was the eye to the interesting object. Was the object clean or covered in mucus? Was there any near object collisions during the encounter?

No comment.... :p ;) :D

Haha, no, I feel sort of dirty having it, although I'm very meticulous with my shower regime :D

Just checked in the mirror, it looks much much better today.

Had the same thing...never figured out what it was.

It's definitely not something you can kill with anti-biotics though....so I doubt its an infection.

The optometrists suggested that I should dissolve a bit of baking soda into warm water & apply it with an ear bud. Seems to help....but don't get any into the eye...hurts like a mofo.

How long did it last though?

Weird thing is, since this evening I'm feeling an itch again, didn't feel it last week in another town when I was away :p

I'll check if we've got baking soda, I know it helps for bee/wasp stings as well ;)

also had eczema on my lower eyelids for the past few months, cortizone and persivate cleared it up in 2 days...

My sister had an infection in her eye, well actually looked like a white pimple, turned out to be cancerous :(:(

Shame man, sorry to hear about it.

Just heard of a small little girl over the weekend who will be blind in a couple of months, sucks man. :(

Thanks man, luckily caught it in time.:o

Glad to hear it.

I've got a very close relationship with my optometrist, she's a very cool person and loves checking out my eyes ;) :D :p
