All unveiled today. The Renault looks sexy...

...I trust you mean title? Otherwise, Canada 2008:

Of course, I meant the title!! :D Just kidding mate... Canada 2008 slipped my memory. 2008 is a long way in the past.

Nooo, I dont think he has the makings of a champ YET. Well, more accurately: I dont think that his machinery will be a championship-winning material this season. Well, let me put it this way, the true potential of F1 machinery usually becomes known when the red lights go off during the first race.

Ferrari's having a hot start to the season - Alonso fastest yesterday, and Massa promptly sets fire to the car today:

Ima put my monopoly-money on one of those two taking the crown this year.

I am really starting to get concerned over this whole moveable rear wing idea... I see the FIA are now concerned that 'overtaking will become too commonplace, and thus not interesting', so its function will be regulated with all manner of following distances and areas on the track marked off with white lines and I don't know what all. But aside from that imagine barrelling towards the hairpin in Canada, doing three hundred and plenty km/h, only to find that your wing is stuck in low-downforce-mode leaving you with insufficient downforce to brake for the corner.

The whole idea is starting to sound a bit daft to me.

+1 and +1... Yeah, my money's on Lewis or Jenson as well with Mark as an outside bet. That said, the rear wing is crazy. I guess it's okay that the driver can engage it when he gets a signal in the car, but the wing is disengaged when the driver hits the breaks for the first time after engaging it... right when you need it most... Electronics fail, and if any of these wings malfunction we will end up watching some of the fastest dirt tracking EVER. Can you imagine arriving at the Paribolica with no downforce to turn in..?

Thanks for the pictures!

I really do like the colour scheme of the Renault this year.

Please continue to post the pictures of the teams as they launch their new cars, I'm FAR to lazy :p

Give him a car that can win and kubica will kick ass

Looks like he's not going to kick anyone's ass for some time.

He was involved in a rally accident this morning and reportedly has "multiple fractures"

How Renault allow him to participate in rallying is beyond me.

F1's Kubica seriously injured

http://www.sport24.co.za/Motorsport/F1s-Kubica-seriously-injured-20110206

Rome - Formula One star Robert Kubica has been seriously injured in a crash while heading to the start of the Ronde di Andorra rally in Liguria, Italy, the ANSA news agency reported on Sunday.

The Lotus Renault GP driver from Poland was at the wheel of the Skoda Fabia he was to race in the rally when he left the road at high speed and crashed into a wall.

His co-driver, Jacub Gerber, is reported to have emerged from the wreck unhurt but Kubica remained inside.

He is said to have been conscious when emergency services removed him from the vehicle.

He was then transferred by helicopter to the Santa Corona hospital in nearby Pietra Ligure, near Savona, suffering from multiple fractures and internal trauma.

His condition is said to be serious and subsequent reports claimed he may be at risk of losing a hand that was crushed in the crash.

The rally was temporarily suspended as Kubica's car was cleared from the road.

It was not the first time the Pole had been involved in a horror crash, after he hit a wall at 300kph during the Canadian Grand Prix in 2007.

Driving for Sauber, Kubica slid off the circuit and crashed into a wall, before rebounding across the track in a barrel roll and hitting another barrier.

Kubica, however, was not seriously injured and after being air-lifted to hospital for checks, he was found to have sustained nothing more serious than a sprained ankle and slight concussion.

He missed only one Grand Prix after the incident.

Dammit, that's a pity. I really enjoy watching him race. I wish him a speedy recovery!

I wonder who is going to full his shoes?

Let's wait for something official. Lots of conflicting stores doing the rounds right now re his injuries.

Yeah it's crazy if you ask me. A mountain bike maybe.... but a rally car??

Looks like there will be a press release on his condition at 13h00 GMT. Let's hope it's not as bad as some are saying.

Extremely sad if it ends his career.
As kayvee wrote, how the hell could they allow him to participate in a rally so close to the season start????

I agree, they were stupid to allow him to compete in rallying. I can understand that he wants to sharpen up his reflexes and skills before the season begins, but rallying is by far the most dangerous form of motorsport. Absolutely crazy...

I will be so sad if this is career ending. I believe that he had the goods to be a future champion, given the right car and team behind him.

If anybody comes across any new developments, please post them here.
