F1 2012 thread

My magic 8-ball concurs... there will be no total domination for at least the first few races... it will be cutthroat.

Oh, and nothing has happened to the Bulls... they still have the pace, but so do 3 or 4 other teams. Mcuh better that way.

.700 from pole is not off the pace? Granted Australia doesn't "favour" the Red-Bulls. With .300 second to the next car which is the Lotus Id say McLaren is looking very strong.

What i noticed last season was the good qualifiers often didn't seem to translate that pace into the race. Tomorrow should be interesting and it looks like a walk in the park for mclaren but merc look like they finally have a car to challenge.

This season looks set to be one of the most competitive and mclaren do look good but whether they will look good at every race remains to be seem. Grosjean wow what a stunning lap.

Ferrari look like they will be competing with caterham hahaha

Mercedes are looking very strong, shame about Kimi though.

McLaren 1-2 has really made my day :D So glad to see Vettel down there with Mark. Looking forward to tomorrow! :D

Think that's down to the DRS. If its the Mercs "F-duct" that give them the speed expect them to be slow tomorrow with no DRS. Honestly think tomorrow is going to be Hamilton over the line first followed by button. The only thing that can get in the way of a McLaren 1-2 is when Hamilton laps Massa :D McLaren last year was always faster in race trim than qualifying if they continue that trend their set for a good race

Haha this is now an interesting season already. Lotus Mclaren Mercedes red bull all close!!! I don't like Ferrari but i hope they improve for competition sake!

And what the hell did Grosjean pull off!!! Another Hamilton in the works then! Hope Kimi pillages the field tomorrow! Its gonna be wild!

Could have been worse. You could have told him that while you were in bed. :D

Now that we are on that subject: I get the feeling Massa is going to get boned by Ferrari very soon. Someone need to get blamed for their poor performance. Alonso is untouchable, so Massa will probably find himself out of a job before end of the season. Massa also doesn't do himself any favors by driving like a drunken octopus on roll skates.

What are you on about? Mercedes have a passive system that accomplishes the same as the F-duct pioneered by McLaren 2 years ago did. Nobody's getting penalised for anything (yet).

First time in a long time that I am looking forward to a race. I like competition. And it looks like it is more than just the Bulls competing tomorrow :)

Vettel starts 6th finishes 2nd, who said the lad can't race from the back. What an epic race and wow button is really showing hamilton the way again.

I would have put money on hamilton destroying button when they joined forces but wow button is just as good if not better than the ham. Good to see that there will be no car that is superior by a country mile this season :D.
 
For me that is proof positive that Vettel is a good racer...

And very happy that Button is schooling Hamilton again.
