F1 2012 thread

Wow, they could hardly get round the track! What a save from Alonso. Unlucky for the other drivers as it started raining heavily mid way into the session :(

She lost control at low speed (not uncommon for F1 drivers in the rain) and went head-first into the truck at 40mph...

Go one better... Woking AND work for Macca :)
I reckon I should start looking at what they need! I've thought of Kent / Maidstone - heard nice things about life there - have you ever been there?

That is an awesome dream :D
Kent is very nice, was actually there earlier today.. dont recall ever being to Maidstone but it looks very nice.

Have to get up very early tomorrow, gonna be a nightmare the traffic tomorrow.

Glad I didnt go to Qualifying now. Couldn't even watch it was on a flight.

Hoping for a wet race tomorrow

Actually I'm not unhappy with the starting grid, though Alonso may walk away with it should it not rain. That traffic to Silverstone is a nightmare I believe. I hope you enjoy it and take loads of pics. I also hope the Ham and Button make it worth the traffic!

Yep, we'll see what happens :) will do, thanks!

That has to be the best F1 grand prix that I have watched. I envy Ros for having been there!

It was an awesome race and Kudos to Mark - he fought hard for that win. Macca were disappointing unfortunately. Alonso fought hard too but Mark was just sublime.

Guys, I was there today and all I can say is... WOW!
Fantastic weather, fantastic race and I cant wait to see more :D

Ferrari fked alonso in my opinion. Brought him in way too early for his last set of wheels, he was losing 0.6 a lap with around 5 seconds over webber. They could have left him out another say 5 laps, sure he would not have had a big lead but he would have been able to defend it better.

He did come in a bit early perhaps, but he was driving the car and they would have acted on his feedback for sure. I don't think Alonso would have done it had he stayed out.

What an awesome day!! Had a really good experience, although the stand seats where pretty cramped for someone of my height.. i thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a smile on my face the whole race just seeing all the cars first hand. Hope i'll be able to go another GP next year!

Bit disappointed that the race I attend is the race at which McLaren have their worst performance of the year so far.. Nevermind though, looking to Germany now!

Was so happy when Webber overtook Alonso too, the cheers at my stand were awesome!! :D

Have uploaded a Flickr album for those interested in some pics I took - http://www.flickr.com/photos/rosswza/sets/72157630561643130/

VREK! That is awesome Ros - despite Macca's performance, I reckon that was the race to see so far. That Webber move on Alonso must have been awesome live. To anyone who has never seen racing live, it's nothing like on TV... WAY better. I can only imagine what a modern F1 race must be like.

Now I'm green after seeing those pics. Thanks for posting... Lekker!

Are those the red arrows? No way... nice!
