Right, MDHNN (for brevity's sake), if you were referring to my sig I'd do a few things:
  1. I'd note that, if you have to ask the question, you clearly haven't clicked on the link. Then I'd ask that you do...
  2. I'd draw attention to the disingenuous nature of equating having 'faith' in things like the sun rising in the morning, or in scienctific inquiry, to having faith in baby Jesus... or Mo'... or whatever flavour of religion you subscribe to. Then I'd point you to the dictionary definition of faith, just so you can see that it can mean a variety of things dependent on context.
  3. Just to make sure we understand each other, I'd point you to the dictionary definition of the word 'context'.

Sure didn't look like it today. Worse car? Doubtful, at the beginning of the year I would have agreed but they really turned the car around. Best car is the McLaren, followed by RB and Ferrari and lotus. That and Ferando only has not scored once due to Grosjean, Hamilton and Vettel each had incidents with other drivers that was not their fault and lost points and car failures. But hey thats how the cookie crumbles.

Ferrari is not inferior, in all honesty at the moment i don't think there is a car that is dominant. I hope vettel wins the championship, he does have the best car and he has over taken so many people. Alonso has not won races if an inferior car. His car is good enough to win the title and that is why he is leading it. His car is good enough to win races as well.

I disagree, of all the drivers on the grid this year, Alonso is the one able to make it happen in the right car IMO. He really looks to be driving the wheels off that car at every race. Massa (10th) is not THAT much worse a driver than Mark Webber (5th) or Jensen Button (6th).

It's Alonso's championship to lose right now.

Vettel has also had a crap car at times and managed to drive pretty well, both have shown that they do not have the best car on the given weekend but they can drive it from 11th to win and come second.

The championships is not over at all. Long way to go. Hamilton will still feature but i can't see alonso walking this championship.
 
With 6 races and a maximum of 150 points still up for grabs it's still mathematically possible for any driver in the top 10 to win the championship and driver number 11 to tie with Alonso. Of course that would have to involve unrealistic numbers of DNFs for the top 5 drivers.

There are 150 points for winning. There's a huge amount of points for the next nine positions. Alonso just has to keep on earning some of those and he will be hard to beat.

Of course it's not over, one more DNF from Alonso would really change it, but he has more than a full DNF in his pocket right now from the next driver in the line up... and that assumes they don't have a DNF. It's not going to be easy to beat him. position 2 downwards is going to be the really close race.

Such a pity. Pastor had it all set-up to justify my argument. 2nd on the grid while Senna was klapping walls and pranging into Massa. A little over-cautious at the start but clean never the less and a strong - clean - race performace was derailed by inopportune safety cars and eventually ended by a mechanical failure.

Dude pastor reminds me of that one hamilton season, nothing could go right. He hit everything possible and did idiotic things.

Give pastor a car, make sure he drives like lewis now and removes the stupidity he can be a world champion or he will continue to be a noob and exit f1 in the next couple years.

Fortunately he is aware that he has not been driving as smartly as he can, which is a great sign of maturity.

Pastor Maldonado has admitted that he is pleased to have proved that he can race cleanly at the front in a grand prix despite failing to finish in Singapore.

The Venezuelan qualified on the front row and ran strongly in the race, only for badly-timed safety cars and ultimately a hydraulic leak to ruin his chances of a good result.

But after a run of on-track incidents in the Monaco, European, British, Hungarian and Belgian grand prix weekends, Maldonado believes that his drive in Singapore, coming off the back of a clean run to 11th in Italy two weeks before, is a positive.

"Yes," he told AUTOSPORT when asked if he is happy to have shown he can race cleanly.

"To be honest, I was living in a bad moment and I was involved in some accidents and it's difficult to say why.

"I've showed everyone that I can race well and be competitive and clean. It was a frustrating race, but at the same time I'm happy because of the pace that we showed, especially at the beginning."

Maldonado has not scored a point since his victory in the Spanish Grand Prix in May and has only one other points finish this season.

He is certain that the Williams has the pace to score heavily in the remaining six races of the season provided that it can end its run of misfortune.

"We have good potential," he said. "Maybe we don't have the best car all the way through the race, but we are always trying to improve.

"In Singapore, we had a great opportunity to be on the podium, but that's racing. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not.

"We are living in some bad moments but we need to look forward. There are still races to go and we can recover. It's important to be calm."

If rumours are to be believed and Williams can deliver a good car next season, Williams will have a pair of super fast drivers as Valtteri Bottas (almost certain to replace Senna) is receiving rave reviews. He's been coached by Mika Hakkinen and Kimi has also been lobbying for him.

Imagine if Kimi had joined Williams instead of Lotus - he would have had a couple of wins already!

Yeah, that's a thought. After a nightmare 2011 Williams are definitely on the right track.

I dunno the car might not have suited him, lotus need to fix their slow pace upfront, they fly in the end but it's too late. qualifiying on the front row could help.
 
I think it's down to not handling the heavy load well, that said, they should be doing consistently better at quali but they aren't. Tyre wear is better over distance AFAIK. Perhaps that was their strategy from the start.

So Hamilton moving to Mercedes next year. Perez to McLaren. IMO think Hamilton made the wrong decision, but you never know.

I reckon it wasn't a good move, but it depends on a bunch of things. They really weren't doing him any favours, hopefully they live and learn. Perez in a Macca? Hmm... I'm not sold yet.
