Honestly, i feel like racing isn't racing any more and the FIA is going woke and has lost the plot.

Delay the start for a bit of rain. Then mandate everyone to start on full wet. Then, instead of just starting the race once the rain stopped, take all the cars for a 3 or 4 lap parade, drying out the track and making it more favourable for inters. Then ignoring all the carnage in the pit lane on lap 1, resultant from their own poor decision making. Then the 5 second penalty, but probably only because perez retired and the teams have old beef.

I don't know what's happening, but it's personally not to my taste. I'm quite sad actually.

Fortunately no one is forcing you to watch

It's the American way.

Going woke is the dumbest phrase Maga Mybb have come up with

I share your frustration.

The full wets mandate goes back to almost 2 decades ago when starting under SC in wet conditions as a result of the Brazil fiasco. I will just also add that full wets are great at clearing the track of water.

The lax enforcement of pit lane releases is a whole other matter and imho they're dropping the ball and it's only a matter of time before something terrible occurs.

The 5s penalty was harsh considering the conditions and racing underway - it was the very definition of a racing incident similar to first lap incidents that have become mostly penalty-immune.

I'll just add that there needs to be some kind of penalty for causing yellow and red flag incidents - they neutralise and have far greater impact on sessions than many of the instances where the FIA hand out time penalties.

It's an easy thing to fix. If you're after the incident you should be allowed to finish your lap. If you're before it you should be allowed another go once it's cleared up...

I've never been a fan of this kind of micro management. Let the teams do their thing and only intervene when safety is being risked or rules are being broken.

I am not a Sir Lewis fan but I gotta agree Toto should have fought back harder yesterday
May be an image of 2 people and text that says FIRST SPORTZ Tea TOTO'S LEADERSHIP IS AN EMBARRASSMENT FANS SLAM MERCEDES FOR NOT PROTESTING LEWIS HAMILTON'S PENALTY AT THE BELGIAN GP

Toto knows Lewis is done. Why go to bat for a driver that you will replace in the near future?
Doubt it.
By now he must also be tired of the whining entitlement. Unfortunately it seems George is picking up the habit as well.
All drivers complain - not sure why when it's Merc's drivers it's any different.

Why is everyone so up in arms about the ham penalty? Imho he got off lightly. He lost control of his car briefly and removed another driver from the race.
That's not a racing incident.
