I’m discussing the decision. But I guess this isn’t the place to do it anymore.
No man, don't be like that. It started off with the wording of not unnecessarily impeded = necessarily impeded and now moved onto whether Stroll was right or wrong.

There were plenty of times in the past where decisions went in favour of Hamilton. Those in opposition to that were told exactly the same thing. A week from now nobody will even remember it. Don't be a chop (not unnecessary insulting you) :p

A discussion by default implies you might get opposing views...

I wasn’t discussing it in defense of Hamilton. I didn’t even mention him.

I only mentioned stroll in response to you to discuss the circumstance. All I’m pointing out is a slower car on a prep lap at speed is essentially now not deemed an impedance to a faster car on a hot lap. That’s not a great situation for obvious reasons regardless of the chaos and jockeying for space or position.

It’s simply madness that this thread now appears to have reached a point that the perceived support of a driver or team is used as context to an opinion rather than evaluating the opinion independently.

Sure. Scroll up and read the interaction. I know more than stewards, should become one and subjectively I may have done differently as a driver. That’s not simply an opposing view. Imho.

Fair enough, and sorry if it came out that way. Just pointing out that traffic is always an issue in qualifying and you have to plan around it. Even Checo got burnt by it a few times this year, it happens to everyone. And generally there leniency when it's an out lap or hot lap, not so much an in lap, which Stroll wasn't on.

Stroll going faster when he chose to, could be part of his own strategy, every driver makes their own choice in when they choose to go for it. If it got in the way of Hamilton's hot lap then tough cookies. It's the equivalent of a racing incident...

For one driver being on a hot qualifying lap and another not I disagree as those on hot laps have always had priority regardless of who is trying to ensure they start their hot lap optimally. It’s precedent now that could (not saying it would) be abused in the future.

JFC. At every race I reckon they've hit peak cringe, only for the next race to outdo it. WTF's with the dancing orchestra?

Will Buxton needs to be replaced. His weird, frenetic energy is odd, sounds out of breath from how anxiety-ridden he comes across. Dude needs to lay off the coke.

Damn. Rainy has hell here today. I see everyone is swapping tires. I saw that there is a warning of thunderstorms and hail.

Race can get interesting.
