Let lawson take Perez's place...

Would be great to see, but at the same time I wouldn't want to put lawson in such a toxic and career ending seat.
Yeah, I like Lawson and wouldn't want him driving Max's spare car.

I think Lawson will do better in any car than Danny...

Yeah, no idea why people still think Danny Ric is a driver worthy of a top seat.

Norris thumped him at McLaren and now look at how Piastri has improved over the season and gotten much closer to Lando's level. There is a reason why McLaren moved on.

Danny Ric is in his Kimi/Valtteri phase of his career. Skills have clearly diminished, so it is just memes and vibes.

Dany is marketable.

mostly because much like Richard Hammond and so many people on this forum he wishes he was American.
and seeing as Florida Man moved up to F1 about a season too early Dany Ric is kind of the token American.

is he funny in interviews yes.
is he good? meh.
is he going to get Checko's seat mid way though next year so Lawson can come back and continue to stomp Tsunoda? yes.
will Tsunoda get a RB seat? yeah in 2026 when they kick Dany out and bring Iwasa in as Lawson's team mate.

Those are my predictions. and unless someone gets rid of the racist baby boomer in charge of the driver program there will be many talented drivers that go the way of Carlos Sainz instead of the way Max.

Tsunoda won't be getting a Red Bull seat. He has his seat in F1 because of the Honda connection (and the fact that Honda's junior program tied up with Red Bull's junior program) and in 2026 Red Bull begin their relationship with Ford. They 100% would be going with Ric and Lawson if they were not obligated to give Tsunoda a seat and once they split from Honda they have no reason to keep him.

The "Beyond The Grid" podcast with Adrian Newey is a pretty good listen, would recommend it. (I'm 17 minutes in so it may devolve like a Haas' tyres).

I think Tsunoda has skill. decent mid field driver. definately better than Perez. and I do believe better than Ricardo.
but for the Cursed seat next to max driver skill does not matter. what matters is how badly can Max make you his cuck off track.
RocketpoweredMohawk did a funny video on the redbull cuck machine.

Doesn't change the reality that he is a Honda junior driver and that there is a relationship between Honda and Red Bull. He is going to need to be a lot better than a decent midfield driver if he wants to stay in F1 beyond 2025, because there is no guarantee that he gets a seat at Aston Martin if daddy Stroll insists on offering his son sheltered employment there. And Tsunoda is not even remotely on the level of the sort of lead driver Aston Martin would be looking at as a replacement for Alonso.

Comes with the territory of being up against a generational talent. Both Hamilton and Schumacher bested their teammates psychologically. Whenever one of them thought they were gaining parity, they just kicked it up a gear and put them back in their place. Hamilton left the hollowed husks of Rosberg and Bottas behind him and Schumacher put Barrichello through the ringer as well. Irvine had the mental fortitude to withstand Schumacher, though.

Fully agree but RB does not need 2 top drivers. they want a top driver and a midfield driver that can perform consistently in the best car and secure number 2 in the championship without actually challenging max.

is Max's first ever team mate in F1 that driver? nope that is why he is no longer at red bull and now at Ferrari.
is it Checko? nope he is going to loose out to Hamilton for P2 this year 100% due to his own mistakes with Lewis coming under pressure from the others for that spot as well. ight have a 3 or 4 driver race for second even.

as for generational talent.
I disagree. there was a time when there were 4 generational talent's racing at the same time. Prost, Mansell, Senna and Lauda and drivers were changing teams every year. team mates up against each other and that never happening. team mates outside of those mentioned that might have happened to though.

some drivers do it on track. some drivers do it off track. look at Lewis vs Vettel in baku 2019 as an example of a driver winning the psychological battle on track.
Lewis vs Alonso in 2007.
the look at Max compared to Kviat for an off track example.
I dont think Shumi ever needed to do it off track becasue he always did it on track to everyone other than Villeneuve and Alonso.
but at the same time did they ever best the team mates if there was a clause in the contract as to who is the number 1 and who is the number 2 driver? this goes for shumi and I believe Hamilton with Bottas as well, but that is not as much of a fact as the shumi V Barrichello ,Irvine and Massa.

I forgot that Martin Brundle was Schumi's team mate and Jos Verstappen was as well as Nelson Piquet

Funny how all drivers are great until they come up against Max as their teammate, then suddenly they bad?
Funny how internet Rambo's know more than the people in F1.
There is a reason Max gets paid what he's paid.
There is a reason he was signed at age 17.
He is also at 18 the youngest F1 winner.

But hey all the F1 bosses know nothing. There is not 1 F1 team principal that would not throw both their driver out for the opportunity to sign Verstappen.
