‘Ferrari’s slot gap separators are purely there to catch attention, won’t appear at first race’: https://www.planetf1.com/news/ferrari-slot-gap-separators-catch-attention/

"Craig Scarborough, a respected Formula 1 technical analyst, is convinced Ferrari’s controversial front wing will not make it to the first race of the 2023 Formula 1 season and was included on images of the launch-spec SF-23 purely to divert attention away from other areas of the car. ..."

What is so controversial about the front wing? I haven't read up much (work!). Why can't they improvise if it's within the rules?

This is actually some good promo, especially aimed at new or non-F1 fans.

the removal of the word "mainly" from that particular rule may mean that it is legal, but we won't know until they use it and pass/fail scrutineering

Press release: "No, we're slow this weekend, don't know man.."

Race day: "Thank you team, thank you Jesus, yes we're working hard and will try obliterate the rest of these losers next weekend again"

Australian Grand Prix chief Andrew Westacott told Melbourne’s Herald Sun on Monday that he had “positive feedback from the FIA and Formula 1 that technically speaking a fourth DRS zone will be implemented”.

The result, he told the newspaper, was that the cars could reach speeds of 340 km per hour (211 mph) around the Melbourne street track. ..."
