The stewards had to review on average 17 incidents per lap.
Impossible to do while the race is still going.
The pinnacle of motorsport lol.

No it is all based on camera footage.

well that's a let down if ever there was one... for all their 'powered by aws' and other technical sponsorship they still rely on humans to make these calls. such things shouldn't be left open to manpower / interpretation

Edit: there was one such incident in the last motogp race where the enforcement of a long lap penalty was left to grainy CCTV and humans leaving it open to interpretation. The whole world was convinced the rider didn't do it properly but the stewards said he did - for reference the long lap penalties are not monitored by sensors while track limits are

Sorry are you being obtuse or stupid? There were obviously other time penalties. Merc would've kicked up an immediate fuss about this. They haven't.

You're clearly not trying at all...

My highlight of the day was Totos voice yesterday when he told Sir Lewis about the car
I wish we could have seen hiis face when he told him LOL

May be an image of 1 person, car and text that says LEWIS, THE CAR IS BAD WE KNOW, PLEASE DRIVE IT TOTO WOLFF TO HAMILTON OVER TEAM RADIO
 
There must have been sensors or some sort of automated system alerting Race Control or the stewards to drivers running wide. I mean, apparently Nico Hulkenberg was given a track limits warning as he went off track when retiring at turn 3 as something in his engine went pop. I'd like to think that the people monitoring this had some brain cells to rub together to realise that this wasn't the Hulk simply running wide.
 
I think this weekend at Silverstone Sir Lewis is going to make a massive comeback
Home turf and upgrades for better aerodynamics
